So my Table was selected to be put in Ferrious, Manchester, a furniture shop just off Oxford Road. Delighted that its in the front of the shop and that you see it as soon as you walk in.

Final Piece for my last project. Happy with how it came out and think the materials mix really well together.

New Table Top

After starting my new project 4 weeks ago, Iv'e started to finally come up with some things I like. This is a quick mock up table top made from MDF and milled by the CnC. First time iv'e ever milled anything so i'm pretty happy with the outcome. Now its time to goto ceramics and play wish dishes.

After gluing it all together I had to do the outside veneer which had to be done in one with a 2 mm each side gap. It was a very stressful week to reach the deadline but I really enjoyed it and i'm really happy with my final piece. Looking forward to getting the ball rolling in practice 4 now

This was when I had all my pieces down to size except the bent laminate which still needed to be hand routed down. As you can see the laminate have the walnut veneer that I had invested in and was such a pain to apply.

This is the my final piece in the making. The legs were made and ready to be used and the wood laminate was in the bag press which took ages to make and size right.

After four weeks of playing around I finally got round to making a to scale model of what would be my final piece. I researched the wood I needed, the veneer I wanted, the scales I wanted alongside a lot of other things
